Some bizarre circumstances in the NBA last night. The game between the Spurs and the Timberwolves in Mexico City was postponed last night due to smoke. A generator on the fourth floor of the Mexico City arena caught fire, causing heavy smoke to filter into the playing venue. The arena was evacuated about 45 minutes before the scheduled tip off time of 9:30 EST (8:30 CST) and was postponed by the NBA a short time later. The game will be made up in Minnesota at a later date, much to the chagrin of the Spurs who were expected to have a strong advantage fanbase wise.
