Max Scherzer turned down a mega deal from the Tigers, so they decided to give the money to All-Star Miguel Cabrera and make him the highest paid player in the history of Major League Baseball. The deal: $292 million over 10 years plus options for an 11th and 12th year to bring the total of the contract over $300 million. Cabrera will be 31 next month. Will this deal come back to bite the Tigers or will any good come from this?
