Major League Baseball's Winter Meetings wrapped up today as eligible teams made their Rule 5 Draft selection. The most bizarre move was made by the Texas Rangers when they took Russell Wilson. Yes, that Russell Wilson. The current starting quarterback for the NFL's Seattle Seahawks. Wilson was actually drafted by the Baltimore Orioles out of high school in 2007 but he opted to go to college instead. After graduating he ended up in the Colorado Rockies system in 2010 before ending up in the NFL. Read about why the Rangers made this strange pick over at ESPN. Oh, and here's Russell Wilson's rookie baseball card. This might end up being a collector's item. http://es.pn/18WVXwe
