Every now and then a story comes along of people doing the right thing. This is one of those stories. Cedric Collins verbally committed to play football for Texas A&M in August of 2012 before the start of his junior year of high school. Following the 2012 season, Collins was diagnosed with a rare disease which took away all feeling in his legs, effectively ending any hopes of playing football ever again. Even though Collins will never play for the Aggies, the school will still honor his scholarship and bring him to A&M as a coaching assistant.
